AGAPANTHUS



Agapanthus is commonly known as the African lily. It has a tall stem with an umbel (a rounded flower cluster) of funnel shaped flowers on a leafless stem, and it comes in various shades of blue and white. It originates in South Africa, and is from the genus of showy perennials in the onion family. The main season for agapanthus is the summer but some varieties are available as early as April and as late as December.
