Meet Freddie from the Product Development team.
With our spring range launched and Mother's Day next month, we wanted to ask one of our busy product
development team members about some of the new season's flowers and his flower preferences. So without further
ado, meet Freddie:
So Freddie, you work with flowers all day long but what are your favourites?
That's really tough, because you get such different flowers for every season, but I think I like oriental
lilies the most. They arrive in bud and then open to these huge and impressive flowers.
What was the last bunch of flowers you sent someone?
Haha. Well, with Valentine's day last month, I sent a dozen red roses to my girlfriend, of course!
We've just launched the Spring range on Arena Flowers, what do you think will be popular?
I think bulb flowers, like daffodils and hyacinths, will be popular. My favourite from the spring range is Spring Memories. It has hyacinth, which smell
amazing, red tulips and alstromeria and is really colourful and bright.
Finally, Freddie, sometimes it can be hard to capture some of the flowers in photographs, which do you
find the hardest to photograph?
For me, alstromeria are the hardest to photograph. They are really delicate and incredibly beautiful but they
can be over-whelmed by some of the bolder flowers like strongly coloured tulips. Look closely at an
alstromeria and you will see just how beautiful their petals are.
