Special gardens in Eastbourne

Eastbourne is famed for being a seaside location, with a fascinating history and an incredible pier - one of the most famous in the UK, which still functions as a tourist attraction and day out in itself.

But the area is also abundant with public gardens and parkland that attracts many visitors, as well as giving local residents some stunning outdoor spaces to spend their time in, relax, and be entertained by live music in the summer months.
Adjacent to the famous seafront, Princess Park was opened to the public in the 1920's. The park's main attraction is the lake, where local clubs race model boats and local children flock to see the show. Swimming between the races, a large population of Swans call the park home. There are beautifully manicured lawns, picnic areas, playgrounds, bowling greens and putting courses, as well as beautiful rose gardens filled with heady blooms that fill the sea air with their perfume.

An earlier addition to the area's public parks, Hampden Park opened in 1902, and has been popular with locals ever since. A beautiful woodland with beautiful specimen trees is one highlight, attracting an abundance of wildlife to the area, and giving shade alongside the wide, sunny lawned area where families picnic and locals relax.

Recently a History Garden and Arboretum were opened, funded by a local Friends group, and a café sits close by. A time line of trees, herbaceous borders and flowers show the history of importing specimens to the UK to create ever more elaborate and beautiful gardens.

"Elaborate detail of the design, make the gardens a delight to visit throughout the year"

Close to the pier the famous Carpet Gardens are one of the seafront's most popular attractions. Every season the gardens are planted with elaborate bedding plants and flowers, creating displays of tulips, pansies, begonias, geraniums and more. The geometrical design of these flower beds, and the care and elaborate detail of the design, make the gardens a delight to visit throughout the year, and each season a new theme is picked by the garden designers.

If you are looking for flower delivery in or around Eastbourne you will be thrilled with the selection, quality and affordability of Arena Flowers, and are guaranteed to find the perfect flowers for any occasion
