Purple flowers have an enchantment like no other, and make the perfect gift for someone who favours these hues to any other.

For flowers fit for a queen, send our Out of the Blue bouquet - the deep and vibrant Irises and lisianthus stand out from the more gentle tones of the eucalyptus leaves and delicate delphiniums.

For that friend who has shown grace through adversity, the lilac lisianthus and statice in this Thinking of You bouquet shows them how much you care.

Purple flowers FAQs

Are purple roses natural?
Purple isn't a colour that naturally occurred in roses until a process called hybridisation was created. It's when flowers are selected for their desired properties, like colour, and crossed with another flower in the species to get the final result in the now 'hybrid' variety.
What other colours work well with purple?
Because purple can sit on both the warm and cool sides of the colour spectrum, there are lots of colours that work really well with purple.

One of our favourites is the deep indigo purple of irises, paired with bright and cheery sunflowers.
How can I keep purple flowers bright for longer?
As with most flowers, the key to keeping flowers in full bloom is to make sure they're kept away from direct sunlight and heat sources like radiators or working fireplaces.
