Scented Flower FAQs

What are the best scented flowers?
There are so many flowers that smell glorious. Our favourites include the sweet and delicate rose, the powerful lily, spicy stocks and uplifting hyacinths.
How do flowers produce scent?
Just like their vibrant colours and unique shapes, flowers use scent to attract pollinators. The smell is produced by 'volatile chemical compounds', a combination of complex chemicals. The scent usually manifests from the flowers' petals, where it evaporates into the air to entice passing insects and ward off predators. Although flowers and plants of the same species may look the same, and may even boast the same colour and shape, they will never produce exactly the same scent. Each floral fragrance is utterly unique.
Can you deliver scented flowers at a set time?
Our Standard delivery window is between 8am–6pm, and our Morning Delivery window is between 7am–1pm. Our courier will send you tracking details and an estimated time of delivery on the morning of your delivery. They also offer in-flight options to manage the delivery. If the recipient is not going to be in, the flowers can be placed in a safely designated place or with a neighbour. The flowers are securely packed inside an Arena box.
